Single origin is when the coffees are harvested from the same farm and sourced from one place only. We can trace the coffee back to the farm, farmer, season, harvest, and processing method used. The opposite of a single origin is a blend, which is not a bad thing. But while blends combine beans from different places to achieve the desired profile, a single origin is always rooted to a specific place and is as unadulterated as coffee can be.
